Once a mature New Town tree comes out in East Kilbride, the stump is often on a garden boundary or beside one of the landscaped buffer strips between neighbourhoods, so access for the grinder is the first thing we check.

We grind below ground level so the ground can be reseeded or replanted, from Stewartfield's newer estates to the older gardens around The Village.

A stump rarely causes trouble until it's blocking the mower, a planting bed or general use of the garden. Grinding brings it down below ground level, avoiding the bigger job of excavating the entire root system.
