Once one of Cumbernauld's mature New Town trees comes out, the stump is often sitting right on a garden boundary or a footpath verge, so access for the grinder is usually the first thing we check.

We grind below ground level so the ground can be reseeded or replanted, working around the town's underpasses and shared footpath network.

A stump rarely causes trouble until it's blocking the mower, a planting bed or general use of the garden. Grinding brings it down below ground level, avoiding the bigger job of excavating the entire root system.
